Skin Suitability
Suitable for all skin types, you can tailor Naturallythinking Aftershave Balm base with natural ingredients, essential oils, and fragrances for your skin type.
Stability / Shelf Life
36 Months / Use within 12 months of opening.
The above shelf life is based upon Naturallythinking Aftershave Balm without additional ingredients. The shelf life can be affected by the addition of ingredients. For example, adding oils that quickly go rancid can reduce the life expectancy of the base. On the other hand, adding ingredients with natural preservative and anti-oxidant properties can prolong the life of the Aftershave Balm.

Skin Application Directions
After shaving, rinse with warm, clean water.
Apply a pea-sized amount of the Aftershave Balm to the shaved areas, gently massaging into the skin with your fingertips. The lotion will naturally absorb to give you a soft, skin-calmed effect.
Directions for blending aftershave balm
If you are blending for home use on a small scale, add 15-20 drops of essential oils to 100ml of Aftershave Balm base.
We recommend using up to 3% essential oils in the Aftershave Balm if you are customising; commonly, most blends will be at most 1% essential oil. You can also add other active ingredients (see our active ingredients section) to further customise the base.
It is best to create professional blends by blending in a mixing bowl and gradually adding and stirring your preferred combination of oils and actives.
You can add unlimited levels of carrier oils to the base; the more you add, the more you will change the composition of the base.
Fragrance oils (as opposed to essential oils) can also be used in our bases; although we only use natural essential oils, we do not sell synthetic Fragrance Oils.
Remember, shaving can be a very sensitive experience for many men and teenagers; using the appropriate essential oils is crucial to an effective blend
Product Tips
Blend Oils such as Lavender and Tea Tree with Aftershave Balm base to provide natural antiseptic and antibacterial properties. This natural blend will help with problem skin and help ensure the skin remains spot-free after shaving.
If you would like the Aftershave Balm base to give a cooling effect, why not add Peppermint Essential Oil? Instantly cooling for the skin and combined with other essential oils provide a scent popular with men.
Other essential oils popular for Aftershave Balm blends are Orange and Eucalyptus.
It is also possible to enhance the moisturisation effects of the balm by adding carrier oils, such as Avocado, Almond, Rosehip, Sea Buckthorn, and Jojoba.
One of our favourite blends is to combine with aftershave base 50:50 with Coconut and Jojoba to produce a natural shaving lotion with excellent glide and natural antibacterial protection from Coconut.

Excellent product
I have been using this in my barbers shop now for a couple of years. My wife adds some essential oils and so i have three different versions available for my clients. It smells wonderful with the oils my wife puts in and makes a nice change from the normal products. Clients love the scent and texture. I am going to start selling what I make in my Salon.
