None recorded and as with all carrier oils (except St Johns Wort), safe to use during pregnancy. As with all nut based carrier oils, always use with caution on people with nut allergies.

A beautifully light oil that can sprayed with the addition of Acrylates/Beheneth-25 Methacrylate Copolymer, Abyssinian oil come from the Brassica Abyssinica plant which is a variety of European mustard plant. The Abyssinian plant is an erect annual herb with large pinnately-lobed leaves. The plant normally grows to a height of 60 - 130cm depending upon the density of planting and weather conditioners.

The plant produces small and delicate white to yellow flowers that will produce the small seeds that the Abyssinian oil is extracted from

Skin suitability of Abyssinian oil, theultra light oil

Abyssinian oil is a ultra light carrier oil that has an excellent cushioning feeling on the skin. The oil spreads easily, without any feeling of 'tack' on the skin and without a feeling of greasiness.

The light nature of Abyssinian provides moisturisation and protection from water, without clogging the skins pores.

For this reason you will often find Abyssinian used as a key ingredient in waterproof mascara.

The ability to spray apply Abyssinian makes it ideal for serums and light facial oils. Add to massage oils to give a lighter, less greasy feel a non-chemical way of acheiving similar effects to Isopropyl myristate.

Works wonders on your hair too

Not just for your skin, Abyssinian oil works wonders on your hair too. Say goodbye to greasy hair after using shampoo and conditioner enriched with Abyssinian oil. With its heat-resistant properties, this oil is the perfect pre-hair straightener treatment.

Facial Oil ive been mixing with herbal oils

Posted by Simone C on 8th Feb 2021

I bought Avyssinian by accident and there it sat for half a year gathering dust until I decided to try it. I started by applying to my neck and found the texture goes into your skin so quick. I then have found I really like mixing Abyssinian with herbaceous oils such as Thyme, Peppermint, Rosemary and making a facial oil from it. I find it lifts my spirits everytime I apply it and it has done wonders for my complexion and especially the elasticity of my skin. I don't feel dry and drawn anymore. It may in part be the oils and I have been working on my diet, but then I am always doing that! An excellent oil that I am about to purchase again. The feel of luxury without the price of those luxury brands.
