Abyssinian Oil
Buriti oil is an orange-reddish oil extracted from the fruit of a palm tree that grows in central Brazil and the southern Amazon basin. The Buriti Tree (also known as Moriche Palm) is an elegant tree which can reach up to 35 meters in height. The large leaves form a rounded crown.
The flowers are yellowish and appear from December to April. The fruit which the oil comes from grows from December to June and is a chestnut colour, covered with shiny scales. The tree grows in very high density.
Buriti is especially suitable to sun damaged and dry skin and skin which is prone to spots. Buriti can be used on burns with some success. Buriti naturally has a natural UV protection.
