The exotic rust coloured tree is a tropical evergreen with a fragrant bark and oval shaped leaves with white flowers and blue and white berries. Naturally it will grow to about 30ft but for cultivation, it is kept to about 6ft.
Cinnamon blends well with frankincense, myrrh, orange, mandarin, benzoin, Clove, Coriander, Ginger, Grapefruit, Lavender, Orange, Pine, Rosemary and Thyme.

The oil is steam distilled from the dried grass. Steam distillation of Cymbopogon (lemongrass), the fresh grass uses large amounts of energy and yields a lower quality oil, so dried grass is the preferred method.
