Usage Instructions

The clays can be used in several ways, taking the properties of the clay and turning them into an applicable usage for your needs. The clays can be made into home blended face masks, used under body wraps or blended into cosmetic lotions and gels, so whether you are home pampering, using professionally or have a spa, the clays should form an important part of your regime.

Face Mask Basic Recipe

1 tsp of clay + 1 tsp of water

Blend with a spoon (wooden is best) until the clay and water mix to form a creamy paste. You can then use the clay by applying to the skin, leaving to dry and rinsing off with warm clean water. The mask can be further tailored by using essential oils, floral waters or carrier oils to create tailored skincare products.

If your skin is suffering from spots, pimples, blemishes and uneven tone, this is the face clay for you. Work with it 3 times a week for a month and ensure you follow with a good toning and moisturisation regime.

Body Wrap

The clays are wonderful under a bodywrap, creating a luxurious and thoroughly therapeutic treatment. Mix the clay with 50/50 water to prepare your paste (you can use floral waters and add essential oils, you can also blend multiple clays together to get a broad spectrum of therapeutic effects).

Prepare your wrapping area, you will need to make a little space and a small amount of preparation will ensure that you can clean the area easily after.

Lay 1 or 2 warm blankets on top an area you can lie and place a plastic sheet on top. Cover yourself with the mixture of clay and water and lie down on the plastic sheet. Now wrap the remaining plastic sheet across the top of you. Make sure remain warm throughout, ideally your room should be a little above your normal comfortable room temperature.

Stay under the blanket for 15 - 30 minutes and wash off in a shower or bath.

If performing in a salon or spa, follow your normal procedure for body wrapping.

Cosmetic Application

The rich clays can be blended into a variety of cosmetic applications, such as cleansers, creams, bath treatments, shower gels and shampoos. Add the clay to the water phase of your preparation and allow to fully dissolve in water. Usage levels are dependant upon the specification of product you are producing.
