Why should I burn essential oils?

Essential oils affect your senses and how you feel

Essential oils have the ability to change the mood of a person and a room when they are used on an oil burner. It is a great way of making an uplifting feel in your house of work place.

A well thought out mix of essential oils can create a mood, change your mood and create a feeling. They can also kill airborne bacteria, especially good at times when there are coughs and colds moving between family members.

In the first couple of months when colds are prevalent you can burn oils such as clove bud and eucalyptus to reduce bacteria in the air, and still re-live some of the Christmas smells.

We love burning a combination of essential oils, matched to the time of year and the feeling that you want to create. At Christmas time and we like to burn our Christmas Spirit blend, with all those Christmasy smells. In those cold winter months you could use a mix such as Clary Sage, Lavender and Ylang Ylang, all of which are thought to be aphrodisiacs!

In the summer it is great to burn a bug repellent citrus blend with some earthy notes - such as Lemongrass, Grapefruit and Lavender. You could also try a cooling blend of Peppermint, Spearmint and Eucalyptus.
