Do I need a stability test?

A Cosmetic Product Safety Report must justify the stability of the product being assessed, to do this the assessor will need to have enough information. The stability data will also allow the assessor to judge the date of minimum durability of the product (the expiry date) and so it is important that it is accurate.

We would recommend all products are put through stability testing in order to establish an accurate shelf life. However there are some occasions when it is not required:
