Aromatherapy Hangover Cure

Whilst there is no wonder cure for a hangover, some oils can provide some escaping relief

We have all been there and over indulged at times... paying the next morning for that "one more drink".

Whilst there is no wonder cure in aromatherapy, some oils can bring you a little relief and escape from the moment.

Use a Cold Compress

Using a Cold Compress is one of the best ways to administer oils when you have a hangover. It helps bring your temperature down whilst combining the therapeutic effects of essential oils.

Using a Saucepan (preferab.ly one with quite a large neck) add 100ml of water alongside 10 drops of essential oil. If you have any Ice cubes, add these or wrap the ice cubes inside the cloth.

Agitate the water well.

Lay a cloth or flannel over the surface of the water to absorb the oil. Squeeze out any excess water and place over your forehead.

Repeat as required to keep your towel cool.

Oil Blends for your Hang Over

If you are feeling sick

Add a couple of drops of Ginger, Ginger essential oil has a wonderful way of calming the body.

Wandering Head

Add Dill Essential oil. Dill makes your body sweat. Make sure you drink plenty of water. In Ibiza the hippies planted Dill along the roadsides, so they would have a ready supply for a morning hangover. If you can make a cup of Dill Tea (using Herb not essential oil), then this can compliment the compress.

Fuzzy Head

Geranium with bring some balance to a fuzzy head. Not recommended however if you feel sick.

Feeling Down and Fed Up

Neroli, Uplift your spirits and revive your body. If you can also burn Neroli the scent can help make you feel revived.
